Quotable Moments From the Episode
“The self-promotion part of entrepreneurship is always hard, especially if that's not something you're used to. I always advise when I talk to people that you're robbing the world of your greatness if you don't share it.” - Toa Green
“As an entrepreneur, always be connecting with other folks, making sure that you are reaching out both to tell people about your business and what you're doing. And don't hesitate to ask for help or share challenges when you know you have a trusted friend or a partner.” - Martin Sorge
“Look at the big picture and plan for the future. Carve out 20% of your time for it. That might seem like a lot, but it’s important to work on your business and think about how you can do things better, or what the future looks like, or how to improve what you're doing.” - Martin Sorge
“I always tell people when starting a small business, it's not necessarily forever. It's something you try out. If it's something you love, keep it going. But it doesn't have to be forever. You can always change your mind or change course.” - Martin Sorge

Martin’s Bio
Martin Sorge is the winner of the sixth season of The Great American Baking Show. He is a home baker, recipe developer, and food writer based in Chicago.
Martin has loved baking since he set the microwave on fire, making a biscuit as a wee youngster. Luckily, he's been doing a little bit of learning since then. As a self-trained baker, Martin was taught by dozens of blogs, a vast cookbook collection, the local public library, and the people around him because he loved the communities where he grew up. He has also spent countless hours helping small businesses thrive within their cities and neighborhoods. As a former economic development coordinator and now small business consultant, Martin understands the vibrancy that small businesses create for their communities.
